Empowering Girls Through Education and Sports
In the heart of Choma village, Gurugram, a transformative initiative is changing the lives of underprivileged girls through sports and education. Choma Eagles, a charitable trust, is not only training young girls in football but also equipping them with essential life skills like English proficiency and digital literacy.
Many of these girls come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, yet they have formed a football team under the guidance of Choma Eagles. But the trust's mission goes beyond the game. Alongside their training, these young athletes receive English and computer education from a dedicated group of volunteers.
Inspired by the slogan Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Choma Eagles has taken its mission a step further: 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Beti Khilao' – Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter, Let the Daughter Play.
By integrating sports into their lives, Choma Eagles builds confidence, physical strength, and a sense of community—preparing these girls for a future of opportunity and independence.
How Rukmani Trust Strengthened Their Mission
Recognizing the remarkable impact of Choma Eagles, Rukmani Trust stepped in to bridge critical gaps:
- Providing Digital Access: Internet dongles were purchased for each student, ensuring the girls could access online learning resources beyond the classroom.
- Enhancing Spoken English: We provided licenses for EnglishBolo, an AI-powered learning platform designed to boost English proficiency.
- Measurable Progress: Over 100 days, students significantly improved their vocabulary, confidence, and communication skills.

Beyond funding, Rukmani Trust also connected Choma Eagles with Preetie Bindra, a leadership coach and dedicated volunteer. Through her online sessions, she has helped these young girls develop resilience, ambition, and self-confidence, guiding them toward new possibilities for their futures.
